Strategic Business Case (SBC)       Register/Login...
Business cases often many of the potential benefits and costs associated with them by focusing only on the primary financial impacts. This tool offers a framework for deeper analysis and assists as you develop the case necessary to include secondary and tertiary financial impacts. Rapid growth of new technologies and the proliferation of best practices have led to finance departments that operate with lean staffs. Today there’s little room in the average organization to take on additional workload unless the benefits associated with the effort are clear and the probability of achieving success is high.

Both performance improvements and cost reductions depend on your ability to identify, justify, and manage discrete projects. Projects are the lifeblood of finance executives' improvement plans, and they make up a large part of a CFO’s discretionary spending. In today’s competitive environment, CFOs, controllers, and other financial professionals have little margin for error in pursuing projects. The market’s demand for cost reduction and improved service seems insatiable, and the universe of project options seems limitless and unfathomable. Selecting and then effectively executing improvement initiatives can make the difference between seizing competitive advantage and languishing at the rear of the competitive pack. This tool will help you seize competitive advantage.

Current State Assessment (CSA)
This assessment serves as an objective means of measuring the effectiveness and maturity level of your Business Continuity Program over time. The CSA questionnaire scores crisis management, business resumption, disaster recovery and enterprise capabilities based on: Governance, Project Management, Policies & Standards, Impact Analysis, Risk & Threat Assessment, Change Management, Escalation & Notification, Data Backup & Offsite Storage, Recovery Strategies, Event Management, Recovery Plans, and Planned Growth.

The CSA output score places business resumption, disaster recovery and the enterprise elements in one of six maturity levels and leads to an Action Plan/Roadmap outlining the tasks to raise the sophistication/maturity of each program element. It also assists in calculating a predicted maturity level score based on Action Plan/Roadmap implementation. Use it to regularly measure current and future BCP program maturity and give senior management a realistic picture of your program capabilities.

Strategic Dashboard (SC)
A dashboard tool linking all your business causal factors to a single glance dashboard which gives you the opportunity to leverage business resources for maximum results (and the most profitable bottom line)!

Polarity Management Assessment (PMA)
The research is clear; leaders (and organizations) that manage polarities well outperform those that don't. They outperform both in the short term and the long term. Polarities are simply paradoxes, dilemmas, contentions, opposites, or problems. High performance leaders and organizations have developed a tacit wisdom about defining and managing polarities (even if they have never heard the name). What is needed is a way to make this tacit wisdom explicit, so that leaders and organizations can be strategic and tactical about tapping the power of opposing ideas. This tool measures the ability of a leader to determine polarities and their choices in managing them. Our debrief and coaching/training will clarify how to improve in both areas as you become a high-performing organization!

The OCI measures twelve types of behavioral norms that may characterize the operating culture of an organization. Four of these behavioral norms are Constructive and facilitate high quality problem solving and decision making, teamwork, productivity, and long-term effectiveness. Eight of the behavioral norms are Defensive (Passive and Aggressive) and detract from effective performance.
